El caso, Methyger-Burgos.
En 1955 el país sufre un golpe de estado y un bombardeo a la población civil en la Plaza de Mayo, en donde mueren 350 personas. Ese mismos año el crimen de una mujer (1), desparramada en tres puntos de la ciudad y alrededores, también conmueve a la sociedad. Reconstruyendo el crimen a través de un collage de material diverso proveniente del Museo de la Policía Federal, de medios de comunicación (Clarín), archivos públicos (AGN), fotografías propias e imágenes históricas intervenidas, el relato visual invita a sumergirse en las ambigüedades que rodean a todo acto de violencia. El trabajo propone usar una narrativa histórica como punto de partida para después reinventarla y volver a imaginarla, poniéndola en tensión con el presente. No se trata de pensar un caso alejado en la historia sino de mirar sus reverberancias y repercusiones en los contextos contemporáneos.
Me interesa pensar el proyecto como si fuera una detective visual, para encontrar las pistas del crimen social, su aceptación como algo posible y la construcción social de víctimas y victimarios. Tensar lo documental para saltar a la reinterpretación. Perseguir la memoria colectiva, pensar los femicidios en la historia.

The case, Methyger-Burgos.
In 1955 the country suffered a coup and a bombardment of the civilian population in the Plaza de Mayo, where 350 people died. That same year, the crime of a woman (1), scattered in three parts of the city and its surroundings, also moved society. Reconstructing crime through a collage of diverse material from the Federal Police Museum, the media (Clarín), public archives (AGN), own photographs and intervened historical images, the visual account invites us to immerse ourselves in the ambiguities that surround every act of violence. The work proposes using a historical narrative as a starting point and then reinventing it and re-imagining it, putting it in tension with the present. It is not a question of thinking about a distant case in history but of looking at its reverberations and repercussions in contemporary contexts. I am interested in thinking about the project as if it were a visual detective, to find the clues of social crime, its acceptance as something possible and the social construction of victims and perpetrators. Tensing the documentary to jump to reinterpretation. Pursue the collective memory, think about femicides in history.
